What to expect during a visit

• Scheduling: Flexible appointment times, including early morning or late afternoon/evening when possible.

• Examination: A thorough physical exam tailored to species and condition. We’ll discuss findings and recommend diagnostics or treatments.

• Diagnostics and treatment: Many point-of-care tests and treatments are performed on-site. If advanced diagnostics or surgery are needed, we’ll discuss referral options and coordinate care.

• Follow-up: Clear written instructions, prescriptions provided as appropriate, and follow-up visits or telemedicine check-ins as needed.

Species-specific notes

• Dogs and cats: Full range of preventive, urgent, behavior, and geriatric services. Nail trims, ear cleanings, and dental assessments performed in-home when feasible.

• Small mammals and exotics: Species-appropriate handling and diagnostics; husbandry and diet counseling are emphasized.

• Birds: Feather, beak, and respiratory health assessments; bloodwork and imaging arranged when necessary.

• Reptiles and amphibians: Thermal environment review, parasite checks, and species-specific disease screening.

Costs and payment

• Visit fees typically cover the house-call service, exam, and basic on-site procedures. Additional charges apply for diagnostics, medications, and treatments. Payment methods accepted will be clarified when booking.

How to book

• Call or text to request a house visit. Provide basic information about your animal(s), reason for the visit, and your location. Emergency triage will be provided if needed and we will advise when immediate referral to a hospital is required.
